Manila Science High School

The Manila Science High School (MSHS or MaSci for brevity) is the pilot science high school of the country. Patterned after the Bronx Science High School in New York, USA, MSHS was founded in 1963 with the graduation of the first Special Science Class spearheaded by Principal Augusto Alzona, regarded as the "Father of Manila Science High School." Through the years, the school has produced graduates that have gone on to become leaders, influencers, decision makers and role models in their respective fields. The tradition of excellence that has become synonymous to Manila Science High School continues to this day. Mission Statement To provide relevant and quality education through its Special Science Curriculum, its empowered school manager and staff, its committed, dedicated and well-trained learning facilitators and support personnel and its linkages with various publics for the development of active, productive, morally upright and development-oriented Filipinos.
