Maple Broadband
Some of the most distinctive leaps in service in recent years across Vermont have come from communities banding together or partnering with existing telecom providers to build their own fiber networks or wireless towers, a process that requires years of focus. Addison County Communications Union District (ACCUD) is the name of the collection of Vermont towns that have banded together, allowable under recently passed state law, with the objective of establishing reliable, affordable, high-speed broadband Internet service for our member towns. ACCUD is currently composed of 20 member towns. Maple Broadband is a not-for-profit municipal entity that is working towards making affordable, reliable internet service available to all households and businesses within the district, along with prompt, user-friendly customer service.
