Founded by Masha and Polina — seasoned travelers and tour guides in Amsterdam — MAPO Guides is an audio guide that helps travelers to explore landmarks and hidden gems all over the world. Often, travelers cannot join guided tours because they cannot afford them or it is a peak season and tour guides are fully booked. That is why we decided to develop an app that would offer immersive tours at affordable prices and would also allow professional tour guides to get extra income. Another reason for designing the platform is the fact that many people tend to see guided tours as dull monotonous walks — and we would like to prove them wrong.⁣⁣ ⁣We aim to transform the perception of traveling. We believe that a tour is much more than just delivering a list of dull facts — it is a fascinating journey full of vivid stories and memorable experiences. We have found the best professional tour guides around the world who record outstanding audio tours and share them in our app. With MAPO Guides, travelers can discover the best authentic tasty spots, take a stroll down the beautiful streets and find out more about local traditions through engaging stories. What is more, it is not going to cost you a fortune. The app is very easy to use. A user selects a destination, chooses a tour guide after watching their video-introduction and purchases a desirable audio tour. Every tour route on the platform is linked to the city environment by built-in Google Maps. It is possible to download a purchased tour through WiFi connection and the app does not require mobile data to play the downloaded tour. Tours are available 24 hours after their activation. The MAPO Guides app is available for Android 5.0+ and iOS 8.0+. We are open for tour guides all over the world and investors.
