Maputo Dive Center

Maputo Dive Center is an impact investing project that uses SCUBA diving as a vehicle to deliver social and environmental impact in Mozambique. We're the first and only 100% Mozambican owned and operated dive center. Our mission is to support the conservation of marine biodiversity by growing the community of Mozambican divers. We operate across three pillars: Education, Exploration and Conservation. We're involved in education by training tourists, schools and universities both recreational and scientific diving courses. We're involved in exploration by taking our community of divers to both new and existing dive sites to study them and bring tourism revenues to support their conservation. And we're involved in conservation by training the next generation of Mozambican marine biologists. We also aspire to support the monitoring and evaluation of coral reefs to support the effective management of existing and the creation of new Marine Protected Areas.
