At Maranello Design Academy we believe that each student deserves a truly distinct and personal education. We are committed to creating the best conditions to turn the students’ dreams into a professional design career. The students at M.D.A. learn by doing in small studio classes led by professional designers. The course format is intensive, and while starting with the basic design notions, the pace and study methods are created to give the possibility of reaching a high level of design skills and competence during the study years. Course studies at M.D.A. are mainly conducted in project form: theory and practice are combined and the tutors are professional designers working in automotive design studios. We believe this intense concentration on the main subjects gives students the level of competence they need to be prepared to work as professionals. In partnership with local organizations, students have the opportunity to learn design with an innovative “FULL IMMERSION PROGRAMME”. The students will enjoy sketching and learning design “live”, in a unique environment, at the presence of some of the most beautiful historical and contemporary vehicles from the local automotive and motorbike manufacturers such as Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Ducati, Pagani and Alfa Romeo. At M.D.A. we are convinced that a successful design culture is supported by a broad-based artistic education, our curriculum includes visits to the most important Italian Art Museums and historical architecture. In this way, students will build a strong knowledge and aesthetic skills in such areas as painting, sculpture and architecture by witnessing and enjoying “live” visits to the historical masterpieces of the Italian art culture in Rome, Florence, Venice and other important cultural hot spots.
