Marco Srl was founded in Naples in 1970 by Antonio Sito, a footwear representative of well-known brands such as Campanile, Cillo, Albano and Troise. Thanks to the completely made-in-Italy manufacture, made with fine products such as leather, suede, velvet and patent leather, the shop managed to gain a considerable clientele in just a few years. Antonio, while participating in the life of the shop in Naples, continues in parallel with his work as a representative, travelling both in Italy and abroad. Continuous contact with numerous companies, both national and international, allows him to keep up to date with the latest news in the footwear sector and to evaluate business opportunities elsewhere. At the end of the 1980s, this led him to strategically land in Milan, a city in great ferment at the time, like the entire north-west Italian industrial triangle where large-scale industrialisation of the Italian economy took hold between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. In 1989, Antonio bought a shop in Milan on Corso 22 Marzo, near the courthouse, a quarter of an hour from the Duomo, an ideal location to break into this large metropolis. He decided to close the Naples shop and hand over the reins of the Milan shop to his son Marco, while still maintaining a coordinating and supervising role in the business. Today, the company boasts four sales outlets in the city's most popular shopping areas: Via Borgogna, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Via Dante and Corso Garibaldi.
