Maria Abous

Classical crossover soprano Maria Abousleiman is a rising star with recent sold-out solo performances at Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Birdland, Pebble Bar, 54 Below and Baretto. Celebrated as "the embodiment of a leading lady"(Woman Around Town) and "funny, touching, and very musical, delivering her spoken and sung lines with assurance and expert timing"(Opera Canada Magazine), Maria holds a B.A. in Music from Columbia University and a M.M. in Voice Performance from The Longy School of Music. Maria's debut album “Crescendo” features classic jazz and theater standards reimagined as love songs from mother to child. Her highly-anticipated holiday album “Merry Little Christmas” will be released in 2024.
