I am an Integrative counsellor; trained in Person Centred Counselling (BA Hons) during which I had 4 years’ experience in schools. I went on to co-run an Art Therapy group with adults during a years’ experience of an Art Psychotherapy MA. I volunteered with YMCA with adolescents/adults, set up my practice, studied Trauma Therapy and use elements of CBT. BACP Accredited:"gold standard of experience and knowledge in counselling and psychotherapy and nationally recognised by potential employers, clients and sources of referral."(Quote from BACP website) I hold the belief in my practice that we all have what we need to overcome our inner struggles, but may need help to access those skills and see connections which were lost or jumbled in our unconscious, to "untangle the ball of yarn" as it were. Counselling offers the support of an impartial, empathic, congruent, supportive (while gently challenging) ear, without fear of judgment or that what you speak about will be repeated without your knowledge. Your confidentiality is key in the counselling relationship. It can be daunting finding a counsellor, but It can also be a liberating journey, so I offer an initial free 15 minute chat where we can briefly discuss what brings you to counselling and you can ask any questions you may have about myself or the process.
