Maricuda Ltd is a marine technology company based on the South Coast. Maricuda launched three innovative products at the International Seawork Exhibition in Southampton. The Aquarion 38 Bilge Pump, the Triton Variable Geometry Anchor and the Stowaway Anchor. For 2011, the Atlantic Challenger a twin General Electric gas-turbine powered, 80 metre trimaran has been designed to secure the Hales Trophy, the Blue Riband of the Atlantic for the fastest crossing of over miles in under 2 days. Maricuda has developed the hull and drive technology to ensure success and to capture a potential global shipping market. Commercial shipping, the military, sovereign border control and offshore energy companies are currently attracted to this concept vessel.
