Founded in Alfonsine in 1899, MARINI began with the production of bicycles, motor-cycles and motor bikes. In the 20’s Marini carried out an important role in the development of motorization and the recovery of the road building and maintenance industry, transforming its motors for industrial use and using them for road maintenance, as well as registering numerous patents (33 at the end of the 20’s). In the 30’s it expanded on new markets – home and abroad – developing its own technologies always more perfect, which led to the design of a plant for the production of emulsion, and a small rotating dryer drum with internal flight system to dry the small chippings. In the 60’s it developed the asphalt plants production 120 t/h and in the 70’s the chipping spreaders, paver finishers and the first cold milling machines. 80’s : A.R.T. 220 (Asphalt Recycling Travelplant). 90’s : EMCC, counterflow continuous mix plant (patented). Since 1988 the company joined the French FAYAT GROUP, with head offices in Bordeaux. Today MARINI employs directly more than 350 people, of which approx. 70 engineers and qualified technicians work in the Research & Development and Technical Assistance. Over 2/3 of the internal staff work in the industrial production sector, but Marini can count on the productive abilities of associated companies for a total of approx. 1500 persons.The offices and main production factory is located in Alfonsine (Ravenna).
