Marjan van Aubel Studio is leading solar design. Through product innovations, light installations, architecture and solar artwork, our studio designs for a positive future. Working on a new narrative by combining the fields of sustainability, design and technology, and developing solar design in general. Notable projects include Design Week Milan 2024 for Lexus, Design Miami 2023 for Lexus at ICA, Dutch Design Week 2025 with and 2022 with Sunne Experience and the Solar Pavilion, the Solar Biennial 2025 at Mudac and 2022 in Rotterdam, and the World Expo Dubai 2021. Marjan van Aubel Studio designs and artwork are, amongst others, part of the permanent collections of MoMa, Centre Pompidou, Vitra Design Museum, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Design Museum Gent, Victoria and Albert Museum, Boijmans van Beuningen, Montreal Museum of Art, and the National Gallery of Victoria in Australia. The studio collaborates with several brands across the globe. Marjan herself also co-founded the Solar Biennial, wrote the book 'Solar Futures', and teaches design at various renowned institutions.
