You've got a product or service. Have you noticed how hard it is to get anyone’s attention? How people just keep scrolling? Me, too. And I have a theory: Most content looks the same. There’s nothing to make it stand out. And if you’re a brand, standing out is key. As behavioral scientist Richard Shotton puts it: you have to "prioritize being noticed above other goals. If you fail there, everything else is academic.” He goes on to say that “the best way to be noticed is to be distinctive." Despite this, most people play it safe. They do the same thing their competitors do— which explains all the scrolling. OK, raise your hand if you’ve seen these stats: • 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual • Visuals are processed faster in the brain than text • 40% of nerve fibers are linked to the retina Uh-huh. I see a LOT of hands. Everyone agrees that visuals are vitally important when it comes to getting attention. And yet people spend hours or days writing posts, then slap in a stock photo and hit Publish. Quite possibly the same photo another brand has used. Sameness. You see it in Canva images as well. There are templates for infographics, book covers, you name it. And people keep scrolling. If you’re OK with sameness and blending in, STOP— read no further— I’m not the visual communicator for you. But if you agree that visual communication is vital for getting noticed and distinguishing yourself from competitors, I’d like to connect. I work with individuals, small businesses, authors, major brands. I invite you to scroll down and read my testimonials (hey, sometimes it’s GOOD to scroll!)
