Mark Cavagnero Associates (Cavagnero) is a San Francisco-based architecture firm with a diverse, award-winning portfolio of public, non-profit, and private sector projects. Since its establishment in 1988, the firm has completed a wide range of architectural and master planning projects including large and small scale institutional, non-profit, commercial, and residential projects. The firm provides a full range of services, from programming, master planning, site planning, and conceptual design to construction documents and administration. Notable projects include the SFJAZZ Center, Oakland Museum of California, UCSF Weill Neuroscience Building, Moscone Center Expansion, San Francisco Conservatory of Music Bowe's Center for Performing Arts, San Francisco State University Marcus Hall, and Santa Rosa Junior College Burbank Theater, among many others. The firm’s work has garnered more than 200 design awards from local, state, national, and international organizations. Cavagnero was honored with the AIA California Council (AIACC) 2012 Firm of the Year Award. As the founder of the firm, Mark Cavagnero, FAIA, has been personally recognized with the AIACC 2010 Distinguished Practice Award and the 2015 AIACC Maybeck Award for outstanding lifetime achievement, among many other accolades.
