Marked By is on a mission to create meaningful experiences resulting in creative products to be enjoyed by all. We believe the organic process of art making is just as important as celebrating the final product. Sisters Rachel Searles, a mother of two with a Masters in Early Childhood Education, & Dre Nelson, a mother of two with a Masters in Art Therapy, dreamt up the idea for Marked By as a way to encourage families to explore the freedom of creative expression & witness the impact their mark can make on the world. Utilizing principles of Art Therapy & Early Childhood Education, they found a way to give meaning to the mess, creating art that is celebrated by all. Through hands-on play & sensory exploration, our key offerings encourage little painters to embrace the creative process & think for themselves. Private In-Home Experiences: Marked By curates private, in-home painting experiences for the littlest painters to transform their creations, handprints and footprints into gallery style home decor. No matter the artistic ability, Marked By facilitates each session to best fit each unique child. Final products are timeless, high-end pieces the whole family will cherish. Honoring your children's artwork in the home is not only the greatest gift to you, but to your children's self-esteem. Play Based Classes: Marked by You, is where creative exploration comes to life for babies 9 months - 3 years! Whether squishing sponges, tapping measuring cups, pouring rice, or painting with fingers & toes, this class is all about sensory play & empowering babies to lead their own way. Created by Art Therapists, classes focus on evolving a baby's tactile senses, developing fine & gross motor skills & building confidence to take risks in a safe space. We tap into the innate, inner artist all while developing transferable life skills. Learn what's possible when age-appropriate art materials meet open exploration.
