MARMIA (Mid-Atlantic Regional Moving Image Archive) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the preservation and access of the U.S. Mid-Atlantic’s moving images and recorded sounds. MARMIA offers the following: 1. Discounted audiovisual archiving services to organizations and individuals holding unique moving images and recorded sounds in the Mid-Atlantic; 2. A collecting repository of unique moving images and recorded sounds in the Mid-Atlantic, documenting people and/or places from the Mid-Atlantic, or media that is made by a Mid-Atlantic resident; 3. An access provider of this rare media through reformatting, exhibition, and educational programs to the general public and researchers; 4. And lastly, promoter of motion picture film production and exhibition in the Mid-Atlantic region.
