Marryat Tech ApS was founded and joined in 2022, and we are offering site management on larger repairs, retrofits or new installations in addition to technical support and service on B&W two stroke diesel engines. Our service is based on experience gained and cooperation throughout our network of engineers. My name is Peter M. Christensen and I am 56 year old. I graduated during 1991 as a Bachelor in Technology Management and Marine Engineering, and ceased sailing as chief engineer during 1998. Two years followed ashore as a Senior Superintendent Engineer in A.P. Møller Mærsk responsible for the two stroke engines in the fleet and then as Fleet Superintendent Engineer sharing technical management of 22 container vessels with a colleague. In I became the Manager for a Mærsk engine/vessel repair shop in Spain and then later Development Manager of the MEGA+ container terminal in Algeciras, followed by 3 years as Engineering Manager of the APM Terminals in Jamaica/Kingston leading and develo- ping 150 employees and responsible for the container terminal equipment maintenance and recovery. During 2005 a return was made to the two stroke diesel engines as a Manager for the training department in BWSC, including hands-on training of diesel power plant engineers and management. From 2009 to 2022 I have had the privilege to work for MAN-ES in Copenhagen, leading i.a. large repair teams on two stroke engines: • Replacing crank shafts and retrofit. • In situ machining of: • Main bearings journal and saddle. • Crank pin, pin and connecting rod. • Camshaft housing and shaft. • Fitted bolts and holes. • Alignment of: • Bedplate & Shaft line • Camshaft & Pistons. • Faultfinding on: • Pneumatic maneuvering system. • Fuel system. • LO system. • Cylinder condition reporting. • Training of personnel: • Training of young colleagues. • Training of colleagues in hubs.
