Martha Schwartz Partners

Since 1979, we’ve been designing pioneering, culturally-informed places around the globe that work at the intersection of nature, landscape, and art. Working from studios in London, New York, and Shanghai, we use art and landscape as platforms for cultural expression and environmental solutions. What we do We enchant people through beauty, joy, and surprise while delivering environmental, economic and social sustainability. We challenge convention and harness the creativity and expertise of our multidisciplinary team to address climate change, urbanization, and technological advancement. How we work Our art-powered approach generates cultural value by transforming everyday places into iconic destinations rooted in their communities. This vision extends to projects with a remarkable diversity of typology and scale, from the influential Bagel Garden that redefined landscape architecture to the King Khalid International Airport Landscape Master Plan for the world's first carbon-negative airport. Our impact We’ve worked on over 600 projects worldwide in over 40 countries, with more than 70 built landscapes and public art projects earning some 50 international design awards. Through ongoing research, we continuously improve our processes for protecting ecosystems, lessening climate impact, and helping our clients adapt to evolving challenges.
