Active LA Oil and Gas Producer drilling and operating wells in South Louisiana. Martin Energy’s primary focus remains on South LA conventional wells. We believe that these unique, S LA long life conventional wells (with several stacked potential pay zones in these wellbores) are excellent LT cash flow producers (especially with good SWD planning/cost control, and managing the other LOE “controllables” i.e. takeaway costs, etc. with extreme vigilance.) Martin Energy has identified several more extremely promising drilling locations onshore in South LA (classic gulf coast geology here- still the best “rocks” with multiple stacked pay zones in the country in our humble opinion) As most of the new capex in our industry was poured into the “shiny” new unconventional tight rock plays over the last decade or so, great prospects have been left behind onshore and on the shelf in South Louisiana Martin Energy believes such limited new South LA land & shelf drilling over the last 12 years or so has given us an advantage in identifying several grade A, level 1 drilling prospects right here in our backyard (South LA)! After two successful back for back completions in December, Martin Energy soon plans to drill yet another new South LA conventional well in the Empire Field located in Plaquemines Parish, LA. Martin Energy is also evaluating and is extremely interested in E TX A Chalk or EF legit opportunities on both the midstream and upstream sides.
