Mary Sumner House
Mary Sumner House, home to Mothers' Union - an international Christian membership charity - was opened on 21 July 1925 by HRH the Princess Mary Viscountess Lascelles, and was built between 1923 and 1925 from the donations of members and friends of Mothers' Union throughout the world. Mary Sumner House is a Grade-II listed building in the heart of Westminster, offering eight meeting rooms and Conference Hall, ranging in size from six people in a boardroom layout up to 120 people in a theatre-style layout. Mary Sumner House is home to the international charity, Mothers’ Union, a worldwide movement for change, active in the heart of communities. Mothers’ Union supports individuals in overcoming inequality through activism, advocacy, and action. Together we work to create a better tomorrow, free of poverty, violence, and injustice, where everyone thrives. Hiring a meeting room at Mary Sumner House helps women worldwide break free from gender discrimination and gender violence, and escape poverty.
