Masar Association

Masar Association was founded in 2005 with the aim of contributing to local and national development processes and the advancement of society. Masar envisions a secular and inclusive State where every human being is actively engaged, enjoys public freedoms, and where the rule of law is respected and abided by. Masar’s programs are based on human rights and the promotion of citizenship. In its communal work, Masar mobilizes young people and empowers them to act as agents of change in their local communities. In its policy and governance work, Masar advocates the implementation of the National Youth Policy that was endorsed by the Lebanese Government in 2012 as well as upholding the rule of law. Masar also advocates the acknowledgment of Palestinian refugees' human rights in Lebanon to have a dignified life until the United Nations Resolution 194 is implemented, and to mitigate incorrect stereotypes against them.
