Masjid Media

Masjid Media was founded by a team of Muslims who are not only passionate about technological innovation, but to also bring the Masjid into the 21st century. The idea for Masjid Media originated two years ago, during the Holy month of Ramadan. Its initial aim was to serve as a business that will aid and support mosques all across Toronto. This would begin by replacing the often messy and disorganized notice boards at each of the mosques with a more aesthetically appealing and easy-to- read digital notice board. These highly digitized notice boards will comprise of wide screen monitors that would be installed in each masjid upon entrance, and will display an array of ads, Iqamah times and programs of the closest, nearby masjids in the area. Each ad will also have a print id which will give people the option to print, free of charge. Masjid Media is about revolutionizing the Muslim Ummah, and help reshape how the world thinks about Muslims; this is clearly depicted in our motto:"Rethink Ummah!" The concept behind Masjid Media is therefore to bring the Ummah into the 21st century. Its aim is to revive the Ummah and give Muslims the opportunity to contribute something significant to the modern world. Our goal is to showcase that we are not just a people who take from society, but that we can contribute back to society as well. Digital Notice Boards are only the first product in a series of many innovative products that we plan to bring to the domain of the Masjid.
