In 1981, Don Libolt opened a small awning shop in Southern California that eventually moved to Sacramento. After 40 years and a successful career, Don was ready for the next phase in his life— retirement. Eugene Matsipura acquired the company in December of 2020, and he brought with him decades of experience and a passion for construction. Eugene was poised to continue offering excellence in awnings installation and service, while he also set his focus on the company’s capacity for growth. Leveraging his design and construction experience, Eugene saw an evolved, more robust business with an elevated customer experience. And with this, MasterMax Builders was born.
