Founded in 1973, the Materials Research Society (MRS) is a global, member-driven organization and a recognized leader in the advancement of interdisciplinary materials research. With Membership spanning academia, industry, and government and hailing from 90+ countries, MRS fosters collaboration across physics, chemistry, biology, engineering, and beyond. MRS brings a broad range of Members, from students to Nobel Laureates, together to exchange ideas and drive innovation. Nearly half of MRS Members—and many authors, attendees, and visitors—come from outside the U.S, reflecting the society’s global reach.
