Mathscraft

MathsCraft: Doing maths like a research mathematician is a program designed for all students in Years 5-10, developed in collaboration with maths teachers and research mathematicians. MathsCraft takes students on authentic, challenging adventures that provoke curiosity, inspire creativity, and promote logical and critical thinking - all using mathematical knowledge they are already comfortable with. The MathsCraft Curriculum is a companion to the Australian Curriculum and provides a way to regularly incorporate these experiences into school maths classrooms. The MathsCraft team also offer a suite of hands-on professional development workshops where teachers will work with research mathematicians and fellow teachers to tackle the sort of problems that students experience in Mathscraft, and analyse the resulting experience both pedagogically and mathematically.
