Matota Associates derives its name from the ancient Sri Lankan landing and trading port of Matota which existed on the north-western coast of the Island during the Rajarata civilisation around the 4th Century AD. It acted as a crucial facilitator for the Indian Oceanic trade at that time. Our logo, the pearl, represents the wealth of minerals and other natural resources in Sri Lanka as well as its key position on the traditional trading routes. For a very long time, Sri Lanka has been referred to as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. Matota Associates provides a modern day gateway to Sri Lanka offering business services and support to the international community. The Company Matota Associates was founded in 2018 by three colleagues who bring together a wealth of experience and skills in both Sri Lanka and internationally. Between the three, many sectors are covered including Finance and Banking, Human Resources, Security, Project Management, Inward Investment, Diplomacy and International Trade.
