When Matsuri St James's opened in 1993 in the heart of Mayfair, as a joint partnership of Kikkoman, the world leading soy sauce manufacturer, and JR-Central, representing the world-renowned high-speed rail operating company, we introduced not only traditional Japanese food, such as sushi and tempura, but also a new style of Japanese cuisine,Teppan-yaki, aimed at bringing the Japanese eating experience closer to Londoners' hearts. Matsuri was proud to be appointed as the sole official caterer at the London 2012 Olympics for Japanese athletes and the Japanese Olympic Committee. We don't just serve best quality food, we serve "The Heart of Japanese Hospitality' and this is why we have been running successfully in London for over 20 years.
