Mauryan Group (Mauryan; ) is a private investment and growth capital firm based in Mauritius and Delhi. Mauryan partners with and supports growing companies. Mauryan started operations in Delhi in April 2009 with a focus on advisory and investment. Mauryan was co-founded by Nitin Bhandari and Shiv Wallia. Nitin was formerly a Managing Director at Nomura in London and Shiv was formerly a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch in London. Nitin and Shiv have over 20 years of experience in Finance and Investment. Mauryan’s shareholders include: the founder of Patron Capital ($2bn real estate related private equity firm in Europe); the founder & CEO of Catlin Group (a $10bn large Insurance underwriter); both the CEO and CIO of Orchard Global Capital (a credit fund platform); the CEO of SC Capital (a PE fund of fund player), the former Chairman of Benfield Group and the founder and CEO of Root Capital (and Trustee of the Schroder Foundation). Mauryan’s shareholders are based in New York, Latin America, Toronto, Barbados, Bermuda, UK, and Singapore. Mauryan Shareholders’ affiliates are based in Germany, France, Eastern Europe, and Israel.
