Max Properties was founded by Sharad Mehta and began with a single property purchase in 2010. Sharad Mehta graduated with his degree in Accounting from Baruch College back in 2005 and has several years of experience in accounting. He worked first for a Fortune 500 Pharmaceutical company and then for one of the largest Accounting firms in the world before setting his sights on real estate investment. Sharad began investing in real estate with a worst-case-scenario proof plan. He used ready money, not debt, to purchase property in promising communities. Since then, he has reinvested his money and grown his portfolio to over 50 properties – most of which are owned free and clear. Today, his company is poised to help new investors through that same process. The primary objective of Max Properties is to help investors make money through real estate while giving back to the community. Our approach to real estate has always been about investing in communities first. We only purchase property after thoroughly vetting the surrounding neighborhood. We take the time to interview local shop owners and neighbors to get a feel for the area before buying into it. We even call the local police department and ask not only about crime, but what their personal experiences and impressions of the neighborhood are.
