Maximalist Magazine

Maximalist Magazine is an experimental literary/visual arts student zine that encourages freeform exploration and engaging storytelling through creative expression. Winner of 2022-2023 New Student Organization of the Year Our name is quite straightforward, We like this idea of ‘a lot’– an embracing of diversity, depth, and breadth. Every themed Maximalist issue represents a celebration of the varied and infinitesimal interpretations by our contributors– how themes (words, even) are uniquely rendered through one’s experiences, skillset, and craft. The magazine believe that the borders between artistic genres not only can, but should be troubled. And that it is through wrestling with ideas conceptually and collaboratively that one might view/understand their own craft from fresh, unique perspectives.
