Mayekoo, established as Project Andiamo, is a U.S-based 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, committed to advancing sustainable development across Africa by addressing the root causes of poverty. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Mayekoo operates at the intersection of philanthropy, community development, and social innovation by raising funds to mobilize resources and expertise to deliver transformative impact in the areas of education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability in Africa. Mayekoo also cultivates a global network of changemakers by engaging students and professionals in meaningful volunteer opportunities that extend their skills beyond borders. Together, we’re building a future where opportunity, dignity, and wellbeing are within reach for every African community we serve. In the Ghanaian culture, “mi ma mo ayekoo,” means “I’m congratulating you.” Mayekoo is both a play on that expression and a salute to everyone who joins us on our mission.
