Mayfield Nurseries

Mayfield Nurseries is a social enterprise and subsidiary charity of Solent Mind, the leading mental health charity across Hampshire. Through donations and the sale of high quality plants, shrubs and home accessories, we provide a place for people with mental health issues and learning disabilities to attend the nursery, developing skills and confidence to gain employment, volunteer and make positive steps towards improving their wellbeing. By working in our nursery people can: • Build confidence and self esteem through learning new skills • Connect with people • Gain horticultural qualifications • Improve their mental health and physical wellbeing through horticulture • Increase opportunities for volunteering and paid employment. In just 10 years, Mayfield’s reputation as a trusted and unique social enterprise has gone from strength to strength. Over the last year, we've supported 105 people with mental health problems or dementia, with 96% of them telling us their mental health has improved. Mayfield's central location and beautiful surroundings makes it an ideal space for local businesses and organisations to partner, volunteer and support a much-loved community project with a powerful impact.
