Mayo College - Official

Mayo College is a fully-residential school of symbolic legacy and profound repute; founded in 1875 by Richard Bourke, 6th Earl of Mayo - who was also the Viceroy of India from 1869 to 1872. Team Mayo is committed to a holistic education and views education as having intrinsic value, quite apart from its function of increasing vocational opportunities. The onus lies not only in the development of academic skills, but also vital non-cognitive skills. Well-qualified teachers and instructors supported by administrative staff, provide an enriched environment to make teaching and learning a rewarding experience. The curriculum is relevant to the needs of a changing world, promotes and inculcates academic excellence along with leadership, self-confidence, mutual respect and a sense of global identity. Adequate measures to ensure quality pastoral care for our students, especially since all students are residents. Generations of Mayoites & Mayo Parents - are immensely proud of their Alma Mater!
