Maywood Mission

Life's burdens sometimes become too great for one individual or one household to bear alone. It is for these lives and their circumstances that this mission was founded. Since 1910, Maywood Mission has been making a difference for Christ in our community by providing relief and assistance to residents of Lancaster, Oh and Fairfield County. We provide-SUTQ 3 Star licensed childcare, which includes a 10-12 week summer camp -Food Pantry and Thrift Store open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm -Financial assistance for short-term crisis situations (shelter, rent, utilities, auto repairs)-discharge transportation from local hospitals -transportation, clothing, necessities for reentry assistance -chaplain support and pastoral care -Bible based life coaching Those who are in need of relief and assistance need more than the tangible need itself - they need mutual respect. Recipients of our distributions must never be made to feel a sense of debt or shame. They should walk away only feeling blessed. Charity without dignity may temporarily provide for the body, but it will eventually destroy the soul.~Jonathan Hanks
