The McGill Model United Nations Assembly (McMUN) is the largest collegiate Model United Nations conference in Canada and one of the largest in North America. Since its founding in 1989, McMUN has been held annually in the heart of downtown Montréal, Québec, attracting over delegates from around the world and featuring a staffing base of more than 250 students. The conference is recognized as one of McGill University’s most prestigious academic events and is renowned for its vibrant debates, innovative committees, and distinguished keynote speakers, including figures such as former Prime Minister - Justin Trudeau, ICAO Secretary General - Juan Carlos Salazar and former Canadian Ambassador to the United Nations - Louise Fréchette. McMUN’s mission is to foster a welcoming environment where young leaders can dialogue and collaborate to find solutions to global issues.
