McLaughlin Research Institute is a biomedical research institute in Great Falls, MT, that was founded in 1954. We work on preclinical, translational and clinical research that is important to rural communities, Montana and beyond. Our internationally known, genetically engineered models for neurodegenerative diseases are widely used for testing and developing new therapies. In addition, we have a clinical research initiative, termed HERO (Helping Expand Research Opportunities) that seeks to provide innovative solutions to rural patients.
