McLaughlin Woodworks is a small, family workshop of Baltimore furniture makers. We believe the mark of good craftsmanship is in the details. We take pride in the craftwork and strive to build custom furniture that will stand up to everyday use, stand the test of time, and meet the needs of your lifestyle. We build dining tables, bench seating, standing shelves, built-in shelves, floating shelves, mudroom storage, lockers, desks, cabinets, barn doors, & much more. McLaughlin Woodworks is a new business that already has a long history of excellence to live up to. Multiple generations along multiple branches of the family tree have left their mark on the industry. They were carpenters on the Pennsylvania Railroad, contractors specializing in restoring victorian homes in the Baltimore area, furniture makers, luthiers, and lumber millers. They were professionals and hobbyists, but each honed their craft and passed on their love of carpentry. Woodworking is in our blood, and McLaughlin Woodworks is carrying on the tradition. Owner Patch McLaughlin started MW in 2020 to supplement his income as a sawyer at a small reclaimed lumber business in Maryland. He started out building custom bookshelves and mudroom cabinets for friends and family and quickly started designing and building his own furniture.
