MCTEL, a Gemalto company, develops innovative core network solutions for mobile operators, including- Messaging: SMSC, MMSC, SMS Firewall/Anti-Spam, SMS Router (FDA) and Smart Messaging- Device Management: Automatic Device Detection (ADD), Automatic Device Configuration (ADC), and full EIR. Those solutions works jointly with Gemalto SIM OTA solutions to manage SIMs- VAS services, including Message Gateway (VAS Connectivity Platforms) and USSD Gateway- Roaming solutions, such as Preferred Network (Steering of Roaming), Welcome to Roamers, Bon Voyage to Roamers, Border Roaming Controller. Various other roaming solutions also come from Gemalto portfolio. Those solutions are usually supplied turnkey, but MCTEL is also operating its own platforms on the SS7 network to provide outsourced services to network operators, lowering CAPEX. For example, Hosted OTA/Device Management, Hosted USSD services could be enabled in very short timeframes.
