Mdf- The Label

MDF-The label is the first bridge between Europe, Africa and the Caribbean regarding Afro-Caribbean dances and cultures. The objective is to be able to exchange, to have easier access to the source and to improve our cultural and technical knowledge in order to better promote these dances and cultures in Europe, to give more visibility to the BIPOC actors and creators of these cultures. We want to avoid the appropriation of these dances and the impoverishment of cultures. Therefore, we promote culture with an intersectional and decolonial perspective. More specifically, the association aims to promote access to dance knowledge and techniques, while raising awareness among the public and artists of the historical and social issues underlying artistic creation. Our activities : dance therapy ( reflective & movement/dance workshops, healing-empowerment & deconstruction trainings, reflective events, dance & cultural trips, merch line, workshops, festival, conferences & more
