MealMate Inc. is a startup company that utilizes patented artificial intelligence technology to improve health outcomes by optimizing nutrition. MealMate is a B2B company selling software development kits (SDKs) to other health companies for using patented spoken diet tracking technology. MealMate's novel machine learning algorithm allows users to log what they eat with natural human language (like they're speaking to a nutritionist). MealMate offers the only diet tracking service with patented technology for mapping from a user's meal description to USDA food databases matches using deep learning. MealMate is currently developing technology to take photos of meals, which will make the product the only diet tracking software that uses both natural language processing and computer vision to provide personalized nutrition recommendations to achieve health goals. MealMate is excited to announce being awarded an NSF SBIR Phase I grant to accelerate the development of our technology and improve health outcomes at scale.
