In service to the concept and the story, MP' directors, designers and animators use a lot of different art and animation techniques. The methodologies are increasingly overlapping as more of the process and tools become digital. In addition to live action shooting and design / graphics, the main types of animation include stop motion, cel (aka 2D), and computer animation (CG or CGI).
