MEDANN was formed with the vision to dramatically alter the centralized healthcare model by creating a reliable and unobtrusive contactless remote monitoring system for detecting acute medical events using Multi-Sensor Data Fusion paired with Deep Learning Artificial Neural Networks. The aim is to automatically detect a significant change in a resident's health status via virtually undetectable contactless in room sensors. There will be no wearables or devices and medical assistance is triggered automatically. The goal is to keep patients with chronic health conditions and people who require alternative levels of care out of emergency departments/hospitals and allow them to remain in their community (either in a long term care facility or better yet their home).
