Mediation in Motion Mediators is an innovative not for profit organisation that connects accredited mediators with their clients. MiMM mediators offer commercial and non-commercial mediation services to a cross-section of industries, fields and professions in South Africa. Mediation or Alternative Dispute Resolution is sometimes referred to as assisted negotiations, but it is much more than that. In mediation an independent third party, the mediator, creates a safe environment for the parties to talk to each other confidentially and without prejudice. This is done when the mediator makes use of her/his specialised skills to assist the parties to generate options for the resolution of their dispute, options that are generally not available during litigation. Our mediators’ qualifications and experience complies with international best practice and the norms and standards of the Department of Justice for court-annexed mediation. They are accredited by DISAC, the Dispute Accreditation Council of South Africa.
