Co-founded by Deepti Jalota, an ex-corporate woman, who spent more than 15 years in the corporate world in the fields of Branding, Media and Digital advertising with names like Yahoo and Microsoft and Esha Gupta who brings the young, creative and dynamic side to the company, Medinabazar was helmed keeping in mind today’s Muslim women, who want to embrace a graceful yet fashionable dressing sense which respects her religious sentiments too. The primary goal of this venture is to offer Muslim women of all ages, clothing which have style inspired by current trends and fashion and offering shipping and delivery all over the world. The store ultimately aims to bring Indian and International Islamic and Modest Fashion designers and brands under one umbrella and help Indian Muslim women shop at one platform. Medinabazar, which is India’s first Multi-designer Modest wear online store is offering a wide range of branded products like apparel, accessories, jewellery, shoes, burkinis etc. for Modern Muslim women in India and abroad. The ultimate objective of the venture is to make Muslim wear a part of the mainstream fashion by encouraging every designer in India to create a collection every season and bring it on the portal.
