Medium Silk — formerly Art Spectra — is a blog and emerging digital media platform where art-loving enthusiasts share about the things they like. Partly an archive of thoughts and insights and partly a curated resource for exploring the art world, Medium Silk is meant to be a space for content that's down-to-earth, candid, critical, hopefully a little amusing, and fully-independent. At the heart of it all, this is meant to be a space for: 1. Taking a fresh look at art and history beyond the (Euro-American) canon, with a specific focus on Asia in a global context; and 2. Staying on top of what’s new in art: the artists, exhibitions, scholarship, etc. We're open to pitches from prospective freelance writers, as well as collaborations and partnership projects to further our goal of publishing stories that matter.
