The mission of MEDvital® is to produce and market easy to use home medical monitoring devices that automatically transmit their measurement to a secure server on the Internet via a wireless connection. MEDvital® solutions are designed to empower individuals to enhance their personal health and fitness care and health care professionals with vital, real-time and accurate patient data enabling superior patient care, early intervention, and lower cost from reduced ER visits and hospital readmissions. The devices are covered by US Patents: 6,612,984; 6,942,616; 7,304,582; 7,413,544. They include: • weight scales, • blood pressure monitors, • blood glucose monitors, • INR (blood thinner, Coumadin or warfrin) monitors, • “smart” medication dispensers or pillboxes, • other medical and fitness remote monitoring devices. MEDvital® devices require absolutely no additional user action other than the use of the original device. The data acquisition and transmission is totally automatic and happens in the background without any user intervention. If the device is a MEDvital scale the user steps on the scale, reads their weight and steps off – absolutely nothing else. They can all be used by any person who is capable of using the original device. • They look like, and function like, the original device. • They are unobtrusive, familiar, and non-threatening to the non-technical, elderly, or infirm user. • They do not require any specialized knowledge, techno-savvy, or computer literacy. • They do not require the use of a PDA, cable hookup, docking station, powering up of a personal computer, connecting to the Internet, or any other additional device or action.
