Medway Plus summarised objects : To develop the capacity and skills of the members of the socially and economically disadvantaged community of Medway in such a way that they are better able to identify, and help meet, their needs and to participate more fully in society The promotion for the benefit of the public of urban or rural regeneration in areas of social and economic deprivation We are currently developing a number of project themes, this include : Migrants and Ethnic Minorities Inclusion and Integration (English, Employment, Education, Engagement, Equalities and Health) Tackling Social Isolation Mental Health initiatives (Understanding Mental Health issues) Social Regeneration in Schools and Children’s Centres Community green spaces (community gardens, nature areas) Educating on Healthy Eating and Minimising Food waste (recycling, composting…) Working with Social and Economic partners to tackle Deprivation in UK and in Europe
