Pratik Akademi Departmanı 21 Mart 2014’de Fırat AYYILDIZ’ın kurucu koordinatörlüğünde Erciyes Üniversitesi, İletişim Fakültesi, Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım Bölümü resmi uygulama biriminde kurulmuştur. İlk faaliyetlerine ise 2012 yılında Turkiyeduysun.com ismiyle başlamıştır.
