During weddings and special events Dining pattern starts from ‘Pangat'- A sequence in which seating is arranged, ‘Paat’ - A wooden stool on which we sit, but over the years the culture has changed to Buffet dining. The Thali or Taat comprise of vegetarian selection, such as potato, legumes, leafy vegetables, chick peas porridge, rice & yoghurt base salad,'Farsaan' or fried savory tidbits,Traditional Maharashtrian breads, sweets, papad, spicy and sweet-sour relishes and “Solkhadi” non vegetarian delicacies also accompany the 'Javnache Taat’.
