Mel Bridges

Music makes the world go 'round!’ Mel Bridges, born and raised in South Jersey, has always had music in his blood. Growing up with singing in church and performing all the way thru college, he’s always known that music and performance would take the lead in his life. A singer, actor, songwriter, dancer, and percussionist, he’s performed with the likes of Al Greene, Journey, The Chi-Lites, Dennis Rowland and a host of other accomplished musicians. His theatre journey includes appearances in a variety of productions and has blessed him with a Zoni in 5 Guys Named Moe. With an everlasting urge to give back, for his many blessings he’s celebrating 25 years of volunteer teaching and dedication to Kawambe –Omowale African Drum and Dance Theatre. After a successful corporate career, a singer at heart, the stage once again has called out. He began his professional career as a vocalist and songwriter in 2001, attracting audiences internationally and stateside. Mel joined the Sounds of the Miracles in July of 2011 and is looking forward continuing to “living the dream”.
