Founded in 2002 as a trip planning software publisher, our first product Vacation Designer was sold from 2002 until 2007. It won the prestigious award for Best Hobby Software in 2006. Later, the company relaunched with the VacationCounts™ blog to promote a healthy work-life balance by taking more time off work and life. The site publishes articles and digital tools to track and maximize vacation days and time-off benefits. The latest endeavor is the VacationCounts weather app. Meliovation also publishes the Sidewalk Safari part-time travel blog. Travel blogger Dr. J (Work to Live, Live to Travel, Travel for Work) writes about the USA, Ireland, Portugal, and places around the world with a focus on trip advice and award-winning door photography.
